Pottery is a labor and time intensive process. Each piece has to go through multiple stages of shaping, handling, drying and decorating. Each piece then goes through a bisque firing that takes several days of heating and cooling to strengthen it before it can be glazed and fired in the glaze kiln - which is a hotter firing than the first one. Below is a step by step description of my process in pictures and text. If you have any questions about my clay, glazes, slips or process feel free to contact me.
